Proposing an Absorptive Capacity Framework of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Construction Industry

The demand of construction project is increasing from years to years. Therefore, survive and growth well in the industry, technology innovation need be executed by organisation as both aspects are known a weapon which helps enhancing competitive advantage. Consequently, should have awareness on absorptive capacity allow such practice possible. Absorptive critical item within order sustain, grow compete market. In previous research, had been used analysis performance at different levels including individual, organisation, industry country. However, many researchers focus only large rather than small organisation. Meanwhile, dimension, outlined current measuring R&D orientation not suitable for medium sized enterprises (SMEs) Hence, this paper aims identify measurement level among SMEs industry. Based models synthesis, researcher found that most research performance, employee abilities factors measure This also considered non manufacture sector due limited reliable literature review through its dimensions; acquisition, assimilation, transformation exploitation.
